CAN A VIRUS GET A VIRUS?
The last post revealed how every time electronic advances occurred, increases in EMF, there was a flu pandemic. Such advances increasingly move us away from Nature while also resulting in the use of Nature to satisfy the desire for comfort.
Viruses may be Nature's way of telling us that the dominance of materialistic ways of thinking, imagining, perceiving, sensing and willing have gone too far. A humanocentric view of Earth now rules.
We are unable to experience ourselves as aspects of the wholeness of the Earth embraced by and within the Divine Worlds, and instead believe we are controllers of Earth.
A certain prominent individual recently contracted the coronavirus, was hospitalized for a few days, treated with every possible variation of existing and also untested treatments, apparently rapidly improved, and was able to return to his home and work. This particular individual who has remarkable power and influence in this country as well as in the whole world is characterized by his capacity to bring about separations and rancor between people. His behavior is not unlike that of the virus in its ability to bring about separations between people. And, while it might be argued that his ways are presently in service of getting things back to “normal”, by normal he means rank materialism.
He also does not let anything stand in the way of his heated desires. He is infamous for confused thinking and for lying, while at the same time seen by some as an effective leader. He is also known for his self-centeredness and his fiery and derogatory ways of treating others, particularly women.
The astounding aspect of his extremely fast recovery from the virus is that encountering something so deadly has apparently not affected any of the qualities mentioned above. It is as if this encounter with death, which is about the only way narcissism can radically change, has not in fact changed this person at all, and in fact his ways seem to have only exponentially
In a previous post, I quoted the spiritual thinker and practitioner, Are Thoreson, as saying that his complete surrender when he contracted the coronavirus resulted in his awakening to a whole new level of spiritual awareness. By surrender, I do not mean either giving up, capitulating or giving in to it --- I mean opening oneself completely, without reservation, to the presence of the spiritual worlds -- not as a hope of being cured, but because of facing death. The person above did say his rapid recovery came from God, but, as yet, no transformation of his usual expected behavior has occurred.
We thus have a most interesting contrast in responses to the virus to consider.
Recently, I found another spiritual researcher commenting on this particular dimension having to do with the polarity between control and surrender. Her name is Judith Von Halle. In her book titled “The Coronavirus Pandemic: Anthroposophical Perspectives,” she says:
“Virus epidemics affect the karma of humanity insofar as the individual spirit is not brought to bear within an individual human being, and as a result, what is meant to be the age of spiritual awakening, the person instead relapses into group – soul attitudes,(that is, separateness and fostering of further and more difficult separations between people – my comment) which increase the physical potency of the viruses” (pg. 47).
She also points out that the particular difficulty of a vaccine against coronavirus is that it will not get rid of the virus but rather exacerbate its tendency toward mutation. That is, with this virus, a vaccine, while perhaps seeming to be effective, will instead introduce a wholly new way of living –one accompanied by “fighting” one lethal virus after another, each one more lethal to the spirit of the human being than the other.
Thinking that — well, one day, due to science and vaccines, everything will be fine again, cannot work without changing 150 years of materialism, now gone viral.
Back to the individual mentioned at the start. His public statements since returning home emphasize that “this virus can be defeated. Don’t let it rule you.” Apparently, he was able to confront the virus without falling into fear, for fear certainly increases disposition for the illness. It is more accurate to say, though, that power has taken the place of fear for this individual. Had he experienced deep fear, there would have been the possibility of replacing the fear with inner development, particularly the capacity of spiritual love.
We see, with this person, the possibility of the future human being — one who meets every possibility of succumbing to a threat without an awakening of the true power of surrender — that of coming into spiritual awareness. This would be like humans becoming viruses.
Yes, a virus can infect a virus.
Please know this writing is not in any way political. Future posts may well focus on how the virus may be trying to orient us to developing a living inner life occurs within other world events at this time.
